The whole worlds a changing.
My old friends are leaving.
And new ones are taking their place.

The leaders that I love
Have all gone up above.
Now the youth has to keep up the pace.

My life has been full but I’m not ready to go.
I think I’ll stick around as long as I can.
I’m not yet ready to look God in the face.

That gave me pleasure and laughter
Have gone to open their shows up above.

Somewhere where up in the sky.
Upon a star you can perform the songs I love.

I am still here
But I’ll spit in the eye of the taker
Because I’m not ready yet to meet my maker

Through my life time.
I ask my God, why was I left here.
And why did they have to die.

When my time comes
I’ll sadly leave what I have here
But until then I won’t say goodbye.
