Hello my dear webook friends I just spent two weeks in the most beautiful place in the world with the beautiful daughter I created. Tammy is my youngest daughter and she has made me the proud granddaddy of three beautiful grand kids.
She was sent to Hawaii from the university hospital in SLC, Utah to teach nursing. She lives on the southern coast of the Big Island. Below her home are the greatest beaches anywhere on the planet earth. Miles and miles of multi colored sands along the coast of Kona/Kohala. Most of my vacation was spent combing these beaches with my grand children. I was able to snorkel with my step son and my daughter something that I have dreamed about doing but never in my wildest imagination did I think it would happen. Kona is the beach where we snorkeled the most popular snorkeling beach in Hawaii.

On the other side of the island is the Kilauea Volcano. The island inhabitants believe that Kilauea is the home of Pele, the Hawaiian volcano goddess. Hawaiian chants and oral traditions tell in veiled form of many eruptions fomented by an angry Pele. I was able to spend two marvelous days exploring Kilauea, this giant baby of an island continues to adapt and take shape. The coastal areas are laced with new and old lava flows that slice through, or completely cover old beaches and at the same time create new ones. The result is a multi-hued shoreline where some really great beaches can be found.
All in all my Hawaiian vacation was a wonder of wonders and the best of all times.
